Additional options in the cable configurator
In our cable configurator for coaxial cables, we offer you the option of further customizing the cable assembly to your needs and requirements under “Options”. Below you will find further details on the additional options offered:
Packaging
Standard packaging
If you order only one cable, it will be delivered in packaging marked with the article name and number.
For orders of more than 10 cables or longer lengths, these are divided into several PE bags. For larger quantities, the cables are generally packed in several bags in a divisible quantity.
Each cable is packed separately in a PE bag labeled with the article name and number.
NOTE: This option is included as standard for cables with attenuation testing.
This “Individually packaged” option does not need to be selected and is added automatically.
Individual labeling
To ensure optimum differentiation of the cables, we offer you individual labeling on two lines with up to 12 characters per line. The labels we produce are waterproof, abrasion- and acid-resistant and therefore offer a durable option, e.g. serial numbers, company names, connection locations and much more: Serial numbers, company names, connection location and much more can be marked directly on the cable. The printing is black on a white background. As can be seen in the illustration, the reading direction starts from your selected connector on side A and remains the same up to side B.

Serial number
The serial number is a label with a consecutive number that we apply to the cable.
This is noted on the delivery bill so that you can trace the date of manufacture or the batch of the order at any time.
Note: The serial number is added by default when an attenuation test is selected. This is necessary to link the created protocol to the cable.
This option does not need to be selected and is added automatically.
Precision cut
This option reduces the length tolerance of the cable cut from +/- 2% to +/- 1%. During the production process, these cables are also checked to ensure that the length you require is maintained with millimeter precision.
We ensure that the cable cut is identical for all cables in ongoing production.
Length calculation
Sometimes it is necessary for an application to measure the total length of the cable from one connector end to the other.
You can add this service to your order in our cable configurator with a click of the mouse using the length calculation option.
We then carry out a so-called end-to-end calculation, i.e. we subtract the offset value of the connectors from the desired cable length and thus obtain the exact cable length required.
The illustrations on the right show how the total length of the cable is measured.
Note: We adjust the cable cut accordingly. This usually results in the article number of your cable assembly changing.
The amount for the length calculation only applies once and is not charged for repeat orders.
