Drag chain compatible cables
Drag chain compatible coaxial cables
Drag chains are used to protect cables, which are connected to continously moving machine elements. The drag chain ensures, that the minimal bending radius of the cable is not undershot.
For applications with drag chains, or applications with a lot of movement, a highly flexible coaxial cable is required. Cables with an abrasion-resistant sheath or cables, which are highly resistant to bending, are also suitable.
In our shop, we have selection of suitable cables.
Please note here too the minimal permissible bending radius. The actual bending radius must be greater than the radius for repetitive (cyclic) movement specified by the manufacturer. The cable must be free of tension. Cable bundles must not be tightened with cable ties. There must be space in the cable channel. To extend the durability, the cables can be pulled through PA-protective tubes.
A further application are cables for robotic use. They are also suitable for drag chains, as they are exposed to the same load and moved with a even higher velocity.
A warranty for the durability in cycles can not be given, as it highly depends on the actual structure of the cable connection.
