PE sheath

PE sheath

Cables with a polyethylene (PE) sheath hardly absorb any moisture. Therefore, they are weather resistant and suitable for outdoor use. PE also offers good electrical insulation.

PE is a thermoplastic and also the most commonly used dielectric material. To improve the electrical values it is also used foamed.
