Coaxial cables come in different shapes. The big distinction lies in the inner conductor (solid or Leiteitungung - rope of several fine conductors) and the shielding (single or multiple execution). The selection of the correct line always depends on the application and the frequency to be transmitted.
Example: When used outdoors, attention must be paid to a suitable sheath (more here), while for use in continuous motion, a cable with a strand inner conductor and a braided shield should be selected.
